Rituals give you something to build off of, they give you reliability.
I wrote this a long time ago, but who cares.
Endless waters, crash through my mind.
Neurons fire lower than your blows.
The mountains pierce the clouds
And the heavens are unprepared.
I've seen the mockingbird cheat
I've seen the mockingbird kill
Here's your suggestive sentiment, protagonist.
Monsters don't speak foreign.
I can hear them calling
Teach me to create art, or to destroy it.
I could learn a thing or two about anything
Nothing to save on this desolate heart
Don't be idle, just dissipate.
A load off your shoulders, a world on mine.
I couldn't trust the air with secrets
Keep me so close, too close.
And nothing will shift while your looking away
There's no escaping without a challenge
You could still learn some things.
A thing or two about anything
